Who We Are

We specialise in projects involving historic, traditional and listed buildings or work within their curtilage. The practice is RIBA Chartered and led by ARB registered, RIBA-accredited Conservation Architect Rebecca Johnston-Photis.

We deliver high quality design in response to the particulars of each brief and site, and the cultural and historic context, always searching for the most appropriate contemporary solution unique to each project.

We are particularly interested in the repair, reuse, extension and of existing buildings and responsible retrofit to improve their energy efficiency.

How We Work

We listen carefully to our clients to understand their needs, lifestyles and the problems they are trying to solve. We know that building projects can be very personal and recognise the importance of finding an architect that you trust, can easily talk to, and who shares your values.

We are conscious of our impact on the environment and encourage low-energy design choices, using ethically sourced materials and passive design strategies where possible.

Projects are typically delivered from inception to completion ensuring quality is maintained through construction to handover.

We would love to hear from you to discuss your project and see if we are a good fit.
